Did you know that Trinity Baptist Church partners with various ministries down in Mexico? You can often find different groups from Trinity travelling down to Mexico throughout the year for different serving opportunities.
Currently, Trinity's main focus is the Mexican state of Baja California. This portion of Mexico is located directly south of the California border and is hemmed in by the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Gulf of California to the east, and Baja California Sur to the south.
Baja California is a region rich with history. Fun fact - did you know that the Caesar Salad was invented in Mexico's state, Baja California, in the early 1900's? This Mexican state makes up approximately 3.57% (69,921 square km) of Mexico's landmass and has a population of just over 3 million people. It is divided into 5 local governments, or municipios.
Vicente Guerrero, which is a city located in the San Quintin Valley approximately 268 km south of Tijuana, is the staging point for most of Trinity's build trips in Baja California. Mexicalli, the capital city of the state of Baja California, is where you will find teams caring for women and children who have come out of difficult situations.
Be sure to contact the Trinity Baptist Church office for more information on how you can get involved in our next Mexico Mission's Trip.
