Ashley Winkel

Director of Trinity Preschool

Ashley Winkel is the Children and Family Ministry Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church and the Director of Trinity Preschool. Ashley has years of experience with early childhood education in daycares, preschools, day homes and children’s art studios. She loves connecting with little learners and engaging kids in meaningful learning and play.

Ashley loves doing life with her husband and two kids; having adventures in their camping trailer. Ashley also enjoys reading, DIY projects, coffee, good chats and movie nights. Her favorite toys when she was a kid were Lego, paper dolls and her teddy bear, Timmy.

Kimberly Barber

Primary Lead Teacher

Kimberly Barber has been working professionally with children for over 15 years.  She has several years experience as director and head teacher at a local Sherwood Park preschool and has worked for Strathcona County preschool programs.  She gets excited watching children move through developmental stages and loves to laugh and play with children!  Kimberly loves spending time with her husband and two teens and is happy if they are together enjoying summer weather being active.  Her favourite children's books are "Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes" by Eric Litwin and "Alligator Baby" by Robert Munsch.  Kimberly can't wait to play and learn with your children this year!

Michelle Drews

Primary Lead Teacher

Michelle has been passionate about teaching children for 30 years. After graduating from the Early Childhood Development Program at Grant MacEwan she served in several teaching roles from being a Nanny, to operating her own preschool, to day home provider, Preschool Director/Worker, and a Mother’s Helper to Foster Families. She loves to engage with children and have fun doing all kinds of activities with them. Outside of childcare, she loves to spend time watching her kids at the rink and enjoys summers with her husband, three children, and dog at the lake.

Chelsea Kalvin

Secondary Teacher

Chelsea Kalvin has been working with children for most of her life. As a third-generation teacher, she grew up immersed in the world of education! Chelsea has taught preschool for several years, including to deaf and hard of hearing children. She also briefly taught at a kindergarten in China and has worked locally as a children's pastor. Chelsea and her husband both grew up in Sherwood Park and have three teenage/adult children. They spend most of their weekends traveling with their children for sporting activities. She is very passionate about social justice and is actively involved with an organization in Colombia and Dominican Republic which helps women and children learn entrepreneur skills. Her favorite thing to play as a child was setting up her bedroom as a classroom. 

Kristi Adamson

Casual Teacher

Mrs. Adamson is a seasoned ECE professional. She has a Rehabilitation Practitioner's diploma and level 2 ECE certification. Mrs. Adamson loves observing children as they demonstrate their innovative skills to create masterpieces with found items and loose parts. Her favorite book is "Subway mouse" by Barbara Reid.
